VITAL WEEKEND IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE RELEGATION BATTLE.

MAY 08

POSTED BY: Akatech Solutions | | DATE: May 08, 2016. | Source: Forebet.com

This weekend’s action could be pivotal in the Premier League battle. With just a few games left this season it’s now two out three of Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland for the drop this season.

Norwich have steadily sank towards the Premier League relegation zone in the last few months. The Canaries now sit 19th in the table and face a crucial home game with Manchester United on Saturday, before hosting Watford on Wednesday.

It does not look good for Alex Neil’s though, as they have now lost their last three games in the league and have looked like they have lacked the battling qualities to stay in the top-flight. One crucial factor in the Canaries favour is the fact they have a game in-hand on Newcastle, but not on Sunderland.

Newcastle visit hapless Aston Villa for their penultimate game and will be expecting to pick-up three points, but strangely the Villans have performed better in recent weeks following their relegation to the Championship.

The Magpies performances have improved of late and they have won two out of their last three games in the Premier League, including a crucial 1-0 win over Swansea last time out.

Sunderland have a double header of home games with Chelsea and Everton which may have looked daunting at the start of the campaign, but both have endured disappointing campaigns to say the least and are midtable with very little left to play for this season.

At the moment its anybody’s guess as to who will join Aston Villa in the second tier next season, but the relegation picture will be a lot clear after this weekend’s and midweek
